Be sure to write in complete sentences and label each part as shown below:

A. Characters

Identify the parents and each of the twelve children. Give information about each person.

Examples:

1. Dad’s name is Frank. He is a loving, weird father who is an efficiency expert.

2. Mom’s name is Lillie. She is a loving person and quietly controls the family.

B. Setting

Describe the setting on this novel.

C. These children are naughty at times. Give three examples that show how the children misbehave.

D. Most of Dad’s ideas work out fairly well, but some do not. Give three examples of Dad’s failures.

E. Explain three methods that Dad employs as he instructs his children.

F. Although Dad is fairly strict, the children manipulate him. Give three examples of how the children control their father.

G. Explain how Mother and Father attempt to instill moral behavior in their children.

H. Explain Dad’s attempt to improve efficiency, both inside and outside the household.
