FDA – KICKS OFF ITS 41ST YEAR
In September 1969 ~ forty-one years ago ~ Fort Dale Academy opened its doors and has educated hundreds of children who have enjoyed the Fort Dale Family experience that shaped our lives. FDA alumni are all grown up with treasured memories from their years at Fort Dale which we can proudly say is a 3-G school! That’s high tech language for 3rd Generation!
Determination, dedication and the love of our parents and grandparents made Fort Dale Academy the acclaimed institution it is today full of tradition and ideals. These founders pledged their “love and loyalty” and as alumni “we’ll be true to the ideals we learned from you”. It will be OUR determination, dedication and love that “keep the lamps of learning bright” at Fort Dale Academy. Whether you live nearby or across the country, you continue to be an important and dynamic part of the Fort Dale Academy Family. Whether you are an alumni of Fort Dale Academy, South Butler Academy, Fort Dale-South Butler Academy or Fort Deposit Academy, this is your home and you are a part of the extended Fort Dale Family.

FORT DALE WELCOMES COACH MANTOOTH BACK TO THE NEST
Many of our alumni will be excited to learn that Coach Reggie Mantooth is returning as head coach of the varsity basketball program. Coach William Johnson(’97), wife Laurie Bates Johnson (’01) and their new little one will be moving to Troy where William will be coaching at Pike Liberal Arts under another former FDA staff member, Coach Steven Kilcrease, while pursuing his masters at Troy University.
