Dear Parents:

Summer reading is extremely important for a student to continue to develop and maintain skills. With this in mind, upcoming 2nd grade students are required to read the following book:

Any book by author Arnold Lobel

Students must also read five books by any of the following authors:

Syd Hoff
Leo Leonni
Stan and Jan Berenstain
Peggy Parrish
Robert McCloskey
Jean Fritz
Bill Pete

The attached book report format should be used on each of the books. Forms should be kept in a pocket folder. The reports will be due the first day of school.
