Dear Parents:

Summer reading is extremely important for a student to continue to develop and maintain skills. With this in mind, upcoming 3rd grade students are required to read three books chosen from the following authors:

Beverly Cleary (Ramona the Brave, Henry and Beezus)
William Steig
Cynthia Rylant
Tomie De Paola
Sid Fleischman (The Whipping Boy)

The attached book report format should be used for each book. The reports will be due the first day of school.
