Dear Parents:

Summer reading is extremely important for a student to continue to develop and maintain skills. With this in mind, upcoming 4th grade students are required to read the following book this summer:

Mr. Popper's Penguins (Atwater)

Instructions for the book report are attached. This report will be due the first day of class.

In addition to this book, students will read any three of the following books during the school year. We will write the book reports in class.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Dahl)
Little House on the Prairie (Wilder)
The Diamond Champs (Christopher)
Ribsy (Cleary)
The Sign of the Beaver (Speare)
Stuart Little (White)
