Dear Rising Seventh Graders:

This summer you will be reading Cheaper by the Dozen written by Frank Gilbreth, Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Cary. The brother and sister wrote a true account of their own family, which consisted of Mother, Dad, and twelve children. This hilarious and inspiring novel records the children's experiences growing up with a strict but gentle mother and an eccentric father. This book should be entertaining for the summer.

The report is due the first day of school and should be hand written on notebook paper. Your work should be neat and orderly. Punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure should be correct. Be sure your name is on the first line of the right hand side of the paper. The pages should be stabled at the top right hand corner. Please do not use a folder or cover. Following directions will be a part of this grade.

Happy Reading!
