Fort Dale Academy Art Show
All artwork must be turned in to the library by
8:30am Tuesday, March 11th
Show will open for viewing the following morning, Wednesday, March 12th
All work must be totally original without help from others.
Artwork must be created in the current year.
NO LINED PAPER ALLOWED
NO FRAMES ALLOWED
A label will be needed on back of each entry.
Label sheets can be printed from the FDA website.
Entering in a variety of categories increases opportunities to win!

Student – please print first name and last name clearly
Divisions – (K-5 – 1st), (2nd – 3rd), (4th – 5th), (6th – 8th), (9th – 12th)
Very important! Must be filled out neatly and correctly to avoid division errors!

Medium – What materials did you use to create the artwork?
If unsure of category or medium please leave it blank & Mrs. Taylor will fill it in!
Categories:
Painting – (on any surface made to hang) – oils, acrylics, flat glass, liquid crayon, liquefied pastel
Water Based – watercolor, tempera, finger paint, watercolor pencil
Printmaking – block prints, hand or sponge prints, nature or vegetable prints, silkscreen, etching & word work
Drawing Color – Crayon, chalk or oil pastels, colored pencil, & markers
Drawing Non-Color – pencil, pen & ink, charcoal, graphite, & black felt tip
3-D Arts & Crafts – Sculpture, pottery & ceramics, fabric art, jewelry, ect.
Collage - Paper cut or torn and pasted in place.
Mixed Media – 2 or more mediums usually wed and dry combined (ex. Crayon and tempera or ink and watercolor)
Photography – black & white and color prints – 4x6 or 5x7 prints are both allowed (5x7 preferred). No altering of photos!
Maximum sizes 3D – 4’x4’x4’ all other work 2’x3’
FDA 1st & 2nd place winners will advance to the District Art Show, Wednesday, April 9th.
Mrs. Taylor will take artwork advancing to District to be backed and matted.
An announcement will be made for the cost per mat – make checks to FDA
All first place District winners & division (Gr. 10-12) 1st and 2nd place winners will advance to state.
